WHAT: There is a section for primary K-3 and one for elementary (4-6) at this tournament.
After Travis's success,lots of the kids are interested. You'll play 5 games. Each game you'll be matched with a player with a similar record.
WHO: Anyone who wants to have fun playing chess. If your rating is 300, you'll win a game or two. If you're under 300, you'll have trouble winning even 1 game. Be prepared for some serious thinking!
WHERE: Metcalf Middle School in Burnsville. 35E S to Diffley, then West just past Cedar.
HOW: Register at the site before 8:30 or online and show up around 9:00
HOW MUCH: $22 for first timers, $20 if you're already a member of SCA, but the Moreland Chess club will pay half your fee.
